48 Hour Games
This is a section for all the games that I make during game jams, which is where you only have 48 hours to make a game. My favourite one at the moment is Ludum Dare. These games get their own special section because they are often not as polished as the others because of the time constraint. However, these games have interesting idea, and are by no means bad. Most of you have probably came from one of them, because at the moment one is my most viewed game of all time.
Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 26, the theme was minimalism. A one button horizontal shooter where you play as a happy face that has trouble staying just staying in the air, and now it has to survive and onslaught of angry and sad faces. You have 5 lives to beat the game, but it is pretty short.
Made in 1 day for The 13th day of the 2013 TIGSource Advent Callender. You play as a penguin that has fallen into an abyss of ice and snow. Trek over treacherous crumbling terrain with little safety. Some say yetis live deep in the abyss, to stop those trying to descend. They also throw yellow snow at you, so watch out for that too.
Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 24. The theme was evolution. You play as a slime that has to eat stuff and evolve. Start off as a simple slime eating flowers and running away, but evolve into a killing machine and eat alligators and giant bats. Believe it or not this game is a shooter, though it doesn’t come in to play for a while because of the evolution thing. This is not my best game, but is my first game to pass 100 000 plays, is featured by Newgrounds, and at this time is my most played game at this time. I am very proud of it.
Made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 23. The theme was tiny world. It is a platformer centred around a double jump mechanic, and is extremely difficult, but short. You are a little pink thing that is jumping around in a tiny pixelated world for some reason, and will see the dead bodies and spirits of all it’s previous attempts. You have to download this one, because it is pretty old.
